Spirit of Tasmania is seeking an experienced partner to manage the travel counters on board Spirit of Tasmania’s vessels.
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Bernard Dwyer said the travel counters on board would play an essential role in assisting passengers to plan their tourism activities en route.
“We pride ourselves on delivering the very best service to our passengers and when they are on board it is the optimal time to provide key information about their destination,” he said.
“We’re looking for an organisation to provide this valuable service on board to promote tourism experiences, accommodation and attractions in Tasmania (on our southbound sailings) and in Victoria (on our northbound sailings).”
The travel counters will have the dual role of providing travel information to passengers and providing a commercial service selling accommodation, attraction and park passes, and fishing licences.
In addition, the operator will manage a large brochure rack, the renting of space for which will provide the successful tenderer with additional income.
Mr Dwyer said this was a great opportunity for a company that was passionate about supporting tourism operators and committed to excellent customer service to enrich the travel experience for more than 450,000 passengers travelling on board the ships each year.
The full tender document can be provided on request from Steven Maycock, Company Secretary, smaycock@spiritoftasmania.com.au
Tenders must be submitted by 5:00pm on 19 July 2023. Late submissions will not be considered.
