Spirit of Tasmania freight are in a league of their own when it comes to transporting freight across Bass Strait.
The specialised roll-on/roll-off service, with modern facilities both on board and ashore, allow TT-Line’s freight service to be tailored for individual freight forwarders who have ‘just in time’ freight. Spirit of Tasmania I and II are the only vessels currently operating across Bass Strait, which have been fitted with stabilisers, further enhancing the quality and condition of the freight at the port of discharge.

Each vessel’s stern and bow door operation provides a unique drive-through service, which allows for a fast, reliable, and efficient freight service. TT-Line’s freight service specialises in roll-on/roll-off freight and has the capability of accommodating all types of wheeled vehicles from vans and trucks, 40 foot to 48 foot trailers and to overdimensional wheel units. TT-Line’s vessels easily accommodate B-Double configured freight units.
All freight is on wheels, with minimal reversing due to the convenience of TT-Line’s unique below deck drive through design. Freight units are carried safely below deck and are not exposed to weather or salt air. Freight is carried with passenger ship comfort and reliability.
Freight units must be received 3 hours prior to departure on a night sailing and 2 hours prior to departure on a day sailing.
Freight units transported on night sailings must be collected upon arrival between 6:00am and 3:30pm, unless instructed otherwise. Contact Freight directly to verify collection times for freight units transported on day sailings.
